The quality of the relationship you have with the earth is the foundation for all of your relationships and directly correlates to the quality of love, intimacy and connection in your life.
When, for instance, we feel estranged from the very soils beneath our feet and the creatures who live among us, disoriented as to the phase of the moon, or no longer hearing the intricate rustling chorus of wind chiming leaves as we go about our business, we jeopardize the quality of our presence in all our relations.
Our very vitality carries this burden, slowly lulling into mediocrity and half-heartedness as a result of being soul-starved for the nourishment of simply participating in the rhythms and song of the earth.
There is a myth alive in the subconscious of modern-minds. That if we are to join, rejoin rather, and harmonize our lives back into the pace of nature, we risk our sense of belonging in our society and in our social groups. Something which terrorizes our most primal instincts into a numb complacency with the predominant world order.
Yet, this myth belonging to no one in particular, but felt by many, is a tenent upholding blatantly dysfunctional systems, separationist ideals, colonial legacies, ecocidal tendencies, and corruption across all domains.
We, however, are narrative creatures. The power of story is hard wired into us, as a function of our biology and the evolution of our brains. It’s how we make sense of the world and craft our identities. We shape the world through our stories. Let us now focus on, tell, and create new ones - or perhaps simply return to the oldest ones we can find. Ones that re-embed us into the living earth. Ones that shake us from the cages of our minds and free us to the sensuous splendor and wisdom of our bodies.
Welcome to @devoterre, a shapeshifting virtual garden of art and awakening. A sanctuary, a resource and a gallery. A space to reawaken us to the animacy of the living earth. To decolonize our minds. To restor/y how we perceive and relate to earth. To enhance the quality of our relationships, our presence, and our love. 🤍
